Meet our Staff

"Staff have an exceptional working relationship, which means that they are committed to delivering a high-quality provision for all children" Ofsted April 2015.

We believe that every child deserves a pre-school experience of the highest quality.  Our staff are highly experienced enthusiastic and deeply committed to high standards of practice.  Every member of staff must have an enhanced DBS check, undertake paediatric First Aid certification and training in Food Safety and Safeguarding Children.  Staff are involved in on-going professional training, including at least one member of staff trained in the care of those with special needs.

Jackie Brewer
Manager

Jackie has worked at Little Fishes since 2000. She is qualified to BA (Hons) Early Years Education and Practice. She is also responsible for health and safety within the group and the Deputy Safeguarding Leader and Deputy SENCo and has just completed her level 3 SENCo training. 

Natalie Taylor
Deputy Manager
Red Group key person

Natalie joined us in 2012 and is qualified to BTEC and NVQ  level 3 in early education and childcare. Natalie is the groups outdoor co-ordinator and is very enthusiastic about evaluating and improving our outdoor provision. Natalie currently works 4 days per week.

Hannah Simmons
2nd Deputy Manager/ Designated Safeguarding Leader
Green Group key person

Hannah began working at Little Fishes in summer 2022 and has a Foundation Degree in Early Years as well as a NVQ level 3 in early education and childcare. She has had experience in pre-schools and baby rooms. Hannah currently works 4 days per week.

Sophie Stoner

Blue Group Co key person

Sophie completed a placement with Little Fishes whilst studying for her NVQ Level 2 at Guildford college which she completed in summer 2022. Sophie has been studying for her level 3 Early Years Educator and achieved this in April 2024. Sophie currently works 4 days a week as a co keyperson in Blue Group.

Mel Jones
 Setting Senco
Blue Group key person

Mel joined  Little Fishes in October 23, having been a SENCo in her previous setting. She has a BA (Hons) in Early Years and Childhood studies and a Level 3 Early Years qualification. She has completed the Surrey SENCo training and is currently doing her level 3 senco training. Mel leads small group activities for children with speech, language and social difficulties

Jess Morgan

Special Needs Support Worker / preschool assistant

Jess began working at Little Fishes in 2019, she has lots of experience in supporting children who are on the autistic spectrum. She currently provides 1-1 support but can also provide small group support and can provide cover for staff when needed.

Kelly Porte
Red Group co-key person and pre school assistant

Kelly joined us in 2019 and shares Red Group with Natalie. Kelly currently works 4 days per week

Nikki Endersby

Pre school assistant/ SEN support

Nikki works 3 days a week  as a special needs assistant for our Bubbles Groups.  She also provides cover for staff as required. Nikki is currently studying at Farnborough Tech for her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification.

Val Crow 
Pre school Assistant

Val joined Little Fishes over 10 years ago as a keyperson working 5 days a week. She has recently semi-retired and now works 2 days per week providing cover for Jackie to carry out admin duties.  

Louise Carter
Yellow Group Keyperson

Louise Joined Little Fishes in July 23. She has a level 3 early years qualification and has experience of working in preschool settings and working as an au pair.  Louise currently works 4 days per week.

Amelia (Milly) Callan
Pre-school Assistant
 

Milly joined Little Fishes in March 24.

She supports various keygroups and children throughout her 4 working days each week.

Geraldine Holloway
Cover Staff

Geraldine joined Little Fishes in April 2023. She has a level 3 early years qualification and provides cover as bank staff to cover staff illness and courses. 

Support Staff

Little Fishes have support staff who help on a regular basis with special needs support and at busy times.
