Meet our Staff

We believe that every child deserves a pre-school experience of the highest quality. Our staff are highly experienced enthusiastic and deeply committed to high standards of practice. Every member of staff must have an enhanced DBS check, undertake paediatric First Aid certification and training in Food Safety and Safeguarding Children. Staff are involved in on-going professional training, including at least one member of staff trained in the care of those with special needs.
Jackie has worked at Little Fishes since 2000. She is qualified to BA (Hons) Early Years Education and Practice. She is also responsible for health and safety within the group and the Deputy Safeguarding Leader. Jackie has a special interest in outdoor learning and brilliant spatial awareness skills.
Red Group key person
Natalie joined us in 2012 and is qualified to BTEC and NVQ
level 3 in early education and childcare. Natalie is the groups outdoor co-ordinator and is very enthusiastic about evaluating and improving our outdoor provision. Natalie currently works 3 days per week.
2nd Deputy Manager
Blue Group key person
Mickeala is qualified to NVQ level 3 in early education and childcare. She has experience of providing one support for children with special education needs. Mickeala is the equal opportunities co-ordinator, she currently works 4 days per week
Green Group key person
Val has been working at Little Fishes for over 10 years and is qualified to NVQ level 3 in early education and childcare. She is also the behaviour management co-ordinator, attending relevant courses to update the rest of the team on behavioural management skills.
Yellow Group key person
Jannie has been working at Little Fishes for over 10 years and is qualified to NVQ level 3 in early education and childcare. She is also the special needs co-ordinator and a Designated Safeguarding Leader. Jannie leads small group activities for children with speech, language and social difficulties which have been praised by other professionals.
Special Needs Support Worker / preschool assistant
Jess provides 1 to 1 support working Monday to Thursday
Red Group co-key person and pre school assistant
Kelly joined us in 2019 and works 4 days per week (Wednesday is
currently her day off)
Pre school assistant
Nikki works Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays as a special needs assistant for our Bubbles Groups. She also provides cover for staff as required.
Little Fishes have support staff who help on a regular basis with special needs support and at busy times.
